Hi! I’m Kees, a freelance illustrator and 2D animator based in the Netherlands. I like punk music and my favorite animated movie is Bambi. Contrast keeps things interesting! When I’m not at my drawing desk, you can find me at a local concert or in the woods foraging for mushrooms.
I specialize in creating bold, narrative visuals with a touch of punk energy. From editorial illustrations for a magazine to background art for animation, I love using color and contrast to tell a story.
I graduated with a BA in Illustration & Animation from Minerva (2019) and an MA in Animation from St. Joost (2022). Combined with years of freelance experience this allows me to tackle complex commercial projects while maintaining a unique look and feel.

Hoi! Ik ben Kees, een freelance illustrator en 2D animator gevestigd in Groningen. Ik hou van punk en mijn favoriete animatiefilm is Bambi. Contrast maakt dingen interessanter! Als ik niet aan het tekenen ben, vind je me waarschijnlijk bij een lokaal concert of in het bos op zoek naar eetbare paddenstoelen.
Ik ben gespecialiseerd in het maken van sprekende, narratieve illustraties met een vleugje punk-energie. Van redactionele illustraties voor tijdschriften tot achtergronden voor animaties, ik gebruik kleur en contrast om verhalen tot leven te wekken.
Ik ben afgestudeerd met een BA in Illustration & Animation aan Academie Minerva (2019) en een MA in Animation aan St. Joost (2022).
Wat kan ik voor je betekenen?
Ik combineer een professionele werkwijze met een experimentele blik. Ik werk graag aan uiteenlopende opdrachten: van maatschappelijke redactionele projecten tot energieke posters en motion graphics.
